It’s the holiday season! If that sentence has you panicking about prepping dietary-friendly options, don’t stress — today, we’re giving you an assortment of delicious dietary-friendly holiday recipes.

The holidays should be a time of celebration, spent surrounding yourself with the ones you love! However, you may find yourself losing sleep at night trying to figure out how to please everyone’s palate while also minding your macros or agonizing over the hours you’ll spend stuck in the kitchen! These worries don’t exactly send visions of sugar plums dancing through our heads.

The holiday season is filled with delicious food. For centuries families have used food to connect with loved ones over the dinner table at family gatherings.

Today, there is a collision between dieting, commercialization, and the holidays. This unholy trinity has created the perfect storm of stress that surrounds food during this time of year. If you choose to indulge in decadent food, do it mindfully. Are your favorite holiday dishes making you feel bloated and fatigued or can you eat them and feel fine? Being aware of how certain foods make us feel is the beginning of food freedom.

Starting this holiday season and going forward, we want to dump dieting and the shame that goes along with it. We need to treat our bodies as a gift that keeps on giving! We want to celebrate our bodies and those of the people we love! Love yourself and your family enough to nourish yourself and those you care about with healing food medicine!

For a holiday season of health, happiness, and nourishment; try one of 360 Living’s favorite holiday recipes from around the web!
